Abstract

Secondary title: Natural science experiments for preschool students: comparing live presentations and video demonstrations
Secondary abstract: Early introduction of science in pre-school is very important, so in our work,we have explored and presented the importance of science in pre-school. From the very beginning, children discover their surroundings by observing, experimenting, and reflecting on the phenomena around them. Pre-school children are like "sponges", soaking up a lot of knowledge, butpractitioners and parents need to givee children the opportunity to explore and develop their abilities. Through research, our work explored and presented early introduthe ction of scienctoin pre-school, how experiments stimulate interest in science activities and a comparison between live and recorded activities. The survey itself was related to the last point in the previous sentence and involved 21 children from the Pikapolonica Kindergarten, a unit of the Bistrica ob Sotli Primary School. There were 13 boys and 8 girls. The questionnaire explored how much children enjoyed the science activities, specifically the experiments, and in particular the difference between live and video presentations. We found that children love science experiments and prefer to watch them live rather than via video.
