Abstract

Secondary title: The impact of self-efficacy on job search
Secondary abstract: Job search self-efficacy is an important element of the job search process. Job search is a socially important process, as a every individual applies for a job at least once in their lifetime. In addition to different job search methods, jobseekers also differ in the level of job search self-efficacy, i.e., how capable they are of accomplishing a particular activity during the job search process. One research question and two hypotheses were set for the purpose of the thesis; the research question explored job search methods, whereas the hypotheses checked the impact of job search self-efficacy on the preparatory and active job search. The data were collected with the web survey designed in the 1ka tool. Based on the results of the regression analysis, the first hypothesis was confirmed, meaning that job search self-efficacy has a positive effect on the active job search. The second hypothesis was not confirmed, which means that job search self-efficacy has no statistical significant impact on the preparatory job search.
