Secondary abstract: | Teachers and lecturers around the developed world are facing the advent of a new generation, so-called Generation Z, manifesting its own characteristics and special features, which entail changes in the educational process. The survey presented in this article confirms that teachers of Slovenian as a foreign language abroad perceive some traits in their students that are characteristic of Generation Z. It also investigated which methods teachers use to respond effectively to the perceived changes. It concludes by giving some examples of good practice and emphasizing the importance of thorough reflection to allow the further development of teaching approaches and methods for working with Generation Z. |
