Abstract

Učitelji in predavatelji v razvitem svetu se soočajo s prihodom nove generacije, t. i. generacije Z, ki ima svoje značilnosti ter posledično v izobraževalni proces prinaša spremembe. Naša raziskava potrjuje, da tudi učitelji slovenščine kot tujega jezika v tujini pri študentih zaznavajo nekatere lastnosti, ki so značilne za generacijo Z. Raziskale smo tudi, katere metode učitelji uporabljajo, da bi se na zaznane spremembe učinkovito odzvali. V zaključku podajamo nekaj primerov dobre prakse in poudarjamo pomen tehtnega razmisleka za nadaljnji razvoj didaktičnih pristopov in metod pri delu z generacijo Z.

Secondary abstract: Teachers and lecturers around the developed world are facing the advent of a new generation, so-called Generation Z, manifesting its own characteristics and special features, which entail changes in the educational process. The survey presented in this article confirms that teachers of Slovenian as a foreign language abroad perceive some traits in their students that are characteristic of Generation Z. It also investigated which methods teachers use to respond effectively to the perceived changes. It concludes by giving some examples of good practice and emphasizing the importance of thorough reflection to allow the further development of teaching approaches and methods for working with Generation Z.
