Abstract

Secondary title: Comparison of conditions for acquisition of weapons in European Union countries and United Kingdom
Secondary abstract: Nowdays, more and more people have gun permit for different reasons, safety, hunting, sports, collections. A lot of people wish for a gun permit but they do not know how to get it or what are the conditions to get a gun permit. Because of that we will research conditions on how to get a gun permit in European Union and United Kindgom in this thesis. How are conditons different in betwen countries and how does a citizen come to get a gun permit, so what does he need, which conditions he has to complete, if a person can have a criminal record to get a gun permit and so on. A person who wants a gun permit has to first know what he needs to get a gun permit and on the internet they are just a few websites that can tell a person this kind of information. Websites are very general and in many cases we can only find conditons on gun permit. Where can a person goes to actually get a gun pemit, the person has to figure it out for himself. We can see through the thesis that in most of the counties in EU the condtionts are very similar, the differences are very small. The most different condition is age and if a person needs to take an exam to get a gun permit. In this thesis we also wanted to know if in criminal activity are used ilegal or legal guns, specially in cases of robery or deaths involved with guns and so on. We can see that no matter how strict are the gun laws, criminals still find a path ti get ilegal weapons. In some countries path to get ilegal guns are very easy. In one of the cases a journalist wanted to know how quick he can get a gun, in less than a week he got a chance to get a lot of guns in an alley.
