Abstract

Secondary abstract: Corpus-driven approaches allow for immediate comparison of standardised language and language use. This compact and simultaneous overview of language norm and use provides users with a number of new possibilities, but only if the comparison is clear, consistent and understandable. The paper presents different means of contrasting normative and corpus-driven data. These resources have been implemented in the results of t he project Communication in Slovene: the "Sloleks" lexicon of inflected forms, the "Style Manual", and the "Pedagogical Grammar Portal".
