Secondary abstract: | Contemporary social circumstances require a search for significance in the flood of information and the ability to give practical meaning to acquired knowledge. If traditional curricula aimed to develop just one subject, contemporary curricula require interdisciplinary and cross-curricula approaches and integration. Possibilities for interdisciplinary curricula in the literature classroom will be shown (with an emphasis on developing cultural identity and a problem-based approach to literature). |
