Abstract

Secondary abstract: The command of a foreign language implies not only command of language structure, but also sound knowledge of the individual distinctive features compared to your first language. The features distinguishing Slovene from Macedonian are the result of the influence of the non-Slavic environment. The language as part of a defined social community has developed these features within a wider social and cultural context. Command of the language means command of that very context.
