Abstract

Cilj diplomskega dela je raziskati področje videoiger in umetno inteligentnih orodij z namenom, da omenjena orodja v čim večji količini uporabimo pri izdelavi videoigre. Do ideje smo prišli, ko so se na spletu pojavila številna orodja, ki omogočajo generiranje vsebin, kot so tekst, slike in videi z uporabo umetne inteligence. Videoigro smo izdelali v Unityju, lokalni uporabniški vmesnik Stable Diffusiona, to je Automatic1111, smo uporabili pri generiranju tekstur, ChatGPT pa nam je pomagal pri ideaciji videoigre in pri pisanju programske kode. Najprej smo raziskali področje in uporabljena orodja, nato pa smo začeli z izdelavo videoigre. Raziskali smo tudi dodatna orodja, kot je na primer generator videov Pika, čeprav ga nismo uporabili pri izdelavi končnega izdelka. Uporabnost orodij pri izdelavi videoigre smo ocenili in primerjali s klasično izdelavo brez uporabe umetne inteligence. Pri ocenjevanju smo upoštevali, koliko časa in napora smo prihanili s pomočjo umetne inteligence.

Secondary title: Using artificial intelligence tools to create a video game
Secondary abstract: The aim of the thesis is to analyze the field of artificial intelligence tools and video games to then use the mentioned tools as much as possible to facilitate the production of a video game. We came up with the idea because of the recent appearance of multiple online tools that allow the use of artificial intelligence to generate various types of content, such as text, images, and videos. We made the video game using the Unity engine, while using Stable Diffusion's local user interface, named Automatic1111, to generate the game's textures. ChatGPT was used to help with the ideation of the video game and coding. First, we researched the tools, then we started developing the video game. We also analyzed some additional tools, such as the Pika video generator, although it wasn't used for the creation of the final product. The usefulness of the used tools was evaluated and compared with the more common method of producing a video game without the help of artificial intelligence. When evaluating the tools, we took into account how much time and effort was spared in the creation of the video game.
