Abstract
Pogosto varnost jemljemo kot samoumevno dobrino o kateri začnemo razmišljati šele takrat, ko jo izgubimo oziroma nam je omejena. Varnostni izzivi in varnostni dogodki so v vzgojno-izobraževalnih ustanovah vse pogostejši. Če je v preteklosti veljajo, da se streljanja v šolah pojavljajo le v Združenih državah Amerike, kjer je orožje dosegljivo praktično vsem, se je to v zadnjem desetletju konkretno spremenilo. Kar nekaj amok dogodkov se je zgodilo tudi na območju Evrope. Šole so prve institucije, ki so seznanjene z medvrstniškim nasiljem. Za naše vzgojno-izobraževalne zavode velja, da se v njih strokovni delavci pretežno poslužujejo mehkih veščin, ki so potrebne za preprečevanje nasilja in posledično amok dogodkov. Med te veščine uvrščamo predvsem preventivne dejavnosti in dejavnosti ozaveščanja ter pozitiven zgled strokovnih delavcev mladim. Pa vendar je področje nasilja izjemno široko in tako ga je potrebno tudi naslavljati. Pri tem mora veljati, da je vsakršno nasilje nesprejemljivo in da je za uspešno omejevanje in morebitno reakcijo ob pojavu le tega, potrebna usklajenost na relaciji šola – starši ob podpori vseh zunanjih institucij, kot so policija, zdravstveni domovi, centri za socialno delo, Ministrstvo za vzgojo in izobraževanje in drugi. Velik delež vpliva na učence predstavlja tudi celotna družba, ki lahko s svojimi negativnimi zgledi in vplivi, posameznika potisne do tiste točke, ko je njegova negativna reakcija lahko tudi strelski pohod po šoli z namenom ubiti in raniti čim več ljudi brez obžalovanja. V takšnih primerih je izjemno pomembna dobra pripravljenost zaposlenih v šolah ter njihovo brezpogojno sodelovanje z ostalimi deležniki pri reševanju omenjene situacije. Za takšno sodelovanje so potrebna izobraževanja in skupna urjenja, potrebo po katerih izražajo tudi ravnatelji šol.

Action in case of amok situation at school |

We often take safety for granted, only considering it when it is lost or restricted. Security challenges and incidents are increasingly common in educational institutions. While in the past, school shootings were considered a phenomenon limited to United States of America, where firearms are readily accessible, this has significantly changed over the past decade. Several amok incidents have also occurred in Europe. Schools are the first institutions to be aware of peer violence. In our educational institutions, professionals predominantly use soft skills necessary to prevent violence and consequently amok events. These skills mainly include preventive activities, awareness-raising activities, and positive role models provided by educational professionals to young people. However, the issue of violence is exceptionally broad and must be addressed accordingly. It must be emphasized that all forms of violence are unacceptable and that successful limitation and possible response to its occurrence require coordination between the school and parents, supported by external institutions such as the police, health centers, social work centers, the Ministry of Education, and others. A significant influence on students also comes from the entire society, which, through its negative examples and influences, can push an individual to the point where their negative reaction could be a shooting spree in a school, aiming to kill and injure as many people as possible without remorse. In such cases, the good preparedness of school staff and their unconditional cooperation with other stakeholders in resolving the mentioned situation is extremely important. Such cooperation requires training and joint exercises, which school principals also express a need for. |
