Abstract

Secondary title: Vincent van Gogh’s Works as Motivation for Fine Art in the Preschool Period
Secondary abstract: The thesis explores the use of Vincent van Gogh's artworks as inspiration for artistic expression in the preschool period. The aim is to determine how Van Gogh's works influence children's motivation and to foster a positive attitude towards art. The practical part was based on six different activities in which children recreated famous Van Gogh pieces using techniques such as reed pen drawing, clay modelling, tempera painting, crayon drawing, and collage. The analysis of the children's creations showed that they were motivated, creative, and capable of interpreting artworks. It was also found that children more easily depict subjects that are familiar to them, and that art has a positive effect on the development of social skills and aesthetic perception.
