Abstract
Stres je sestavni del naših življenj in zato neizbežen tudi v delovnem okolju. Zaradi adrenalina lahko poveča našo učinkovitost in uspešnost pri delu ali nas preobremeni in izčrpava. Takrat pusti negativne posledice na fizičnem, čustvenem, kognitivnem, vedenjskem in motivacijskem področju. V magistrski nalogi smo želeli raziskati vpliv stresa na zadovoljstvo pri delu v organizaciji X. Zanimalo nas je, kateri so najpogostejši stresogeni dejavniki, ali med zaposlenimi obstajajo razlike pri doživljanju stresa na podlagi spola in časa zaposlitve v izbrani organizaciji, kakšno je zadovoljstvo pri delu in kako stres vpliva nanj ter s katerimi pristopi bi lahko pripomogli k zmanjšanju stresa. Izvedli smo anketo med zaposlenimi v poslovnih enotah. Ugotovili smo, da večina svoje delo doživlja kot (zelo) stresno na tedenski ali vsakodnevni ravni. Najpogostejši stresogeni dejavniki so pogoste spremembe pri delu, časovni pritiski in količina dela. Dokazali smo pozitivno povezavo med doživljanjem stresa in dolžino zaposlitve v organizaciji X, glede na spol pa do razlik v doživljanju stresa ne prihaja. Prav tako ima stres precejšen vpliv na raven (ne)zadovoljstva. Večanje stresa znižuje zadovoljstvo pri delu in obratno, še vedno pa so zaposleni pri delu dokaj zadovoljni. Med priporočljivimi pristopi za zmanjšanje stresa izpostavljamo prilagoditev odpiralnega časa za stranke, reorganizacijo delovnih mest ter povečanje možnosti za napredovanje in participativno odločanje zaposlenih.

The impact of stress on job satisfaction in organization X |

Stress is an integral part of our lives and therefore inevitable in the work environment. Due to adrenaline, it can increase our efficiency and success at work or overwhelm and exhaust us. In that case, it leaves negative consequences in the physical, emotional, cognitive, behavioral and motivational areas. In our master's thesis, we wanted to investigate the impact of stress on job satisfaction in organization X. We were interested in what the most common stressors are, whether there are differences in the experience of stress among employees based on gender and length of employment in the selected organization, what job satisfaction is and how stress affects it, and what approaches could help reduce stress. We conducted a survey among employees in business units. We found that the majority experience their work as (very) stressful on a weekly or daily basis. The most common stressors are frequent changes at work, time pressures and the amount of work. We demonstrated a positive relationship between the experience of stress and the length of employment in organization X, but there are no differences in the experience of stress based on gender. Stress also has a significant impact on the level of (dis)satisfaction. Increasing stress reduces job satisfaction and vice versa, but employees are still quite satisfied with their work. Among the recommended approaches to reduce stress, we highlight adjusting opening hours for customers, reorganizing workplaces, and increasing opportunities for advancement and participatory decision-making by employees. |
