Secondary language: English
Secondary title: Inclusion of children with ADHD (Aattention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder) in kindergarten
Secondary abstract: This diploma examines how to provide conditions for a smooth integration in a kindergarten group for children with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). At the beginning a short history of the ADHD disorder and various descriptions of it at different times in the past are presented. More precisely the latest definition of the disorder is described and the acronym ADHD, which is derived from the English phrase Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is explained. The diploma also presents the characteristics of children with ADHD disorder and the causes of why the disorder appears in children. It identifies the incidence of the disorder among children and comes to the conclusion that it varies depending on gender and environment in which children reside. We are introduced to the different methods of diagnosis: assessment scales according to the criteria of MKB-10 and DSM-IV; Conners’s questionnaire; Gilliam’s ADHD test, WISC and LTB tests, clinical and diagnostic interview. It calls us to search a multidisciplinary approach to solving children's problems. It points out that medicines do not cure the problems, but they serve to some children as part of the help. Children can be helped with physical or behavioral therapy. The treatment necessary has to include parents, as well as teachers and children who are in the same group with the problematic child. With quantitative research it was found that the way that teachers work with children with ADHD does not distinguish between the teachers, regardless of age, seniority or education. All the teachers are aware of the importance of collaboration with the parents of children with the ADHD disorder. The teachers have united in the desire for further training in this topic during their study and at their employer's.

Abstract (ePrints): Diplomsko delo proučuje, kako otrokom z ADHD (primanjkljajem pozornosti in motnjo hiperaktivnosti) zagotoviti pogoje za čim lažjo vključitev v skupino v vrtcu. Seznani nas z različnimi načini diagnosticiranja: ocenjevalnima lestvicama po kriterijih MKB-10 in DSM-IV; Connersovim vprašalnikom; Gilliamovim ADHD testom; testoma WISC in LTB; kliničnim in diagnostičnim intervjujem.
