The diploma thesis deals with the mathematical literacy using the tables and diagrams. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the mathematics in everyday life, functional and mathematics literacy and data processing field are presented. Also various charts, which should be learned in the first years of education and the content and objectives of the curriculum (1998) from the field of data processing or mathematical literacy that pupils should achieve at the class level. In the second, empirical part, we focused on the on the data processing part of the curriculum. We prepared tasks for students, through which we tried to determine whether students meet the learning goals, provided by the curriculum for third and fifth class from the field of data processing. The aim of thesis was to investigate whether in school students obtain the necessary knowledge and achieve the learning objectives from the field of data processing that are important for mathematical literacy and everyday life. Also, we wanted to determine whether students of fifth classes achieve significantly better results than pupils 3rd classes. Each task examined a specific goal. The tasks were analyzed and revealed that students of third and fifth classes do not meet all the learning objectives established by the curriculum. We also found out that the students of the fifth classes, at majority of the tasks achieved significantly better results than the third grade students. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
Diplomsko delo obravnava matematično opismenjevanje preko preglednic in diagramov. |
