Attitude towards the environment in the kindergarten |
Secondary abstract: |
Nowadays, ecology is a word we hear and read about practically every single day. It is not easy to balance the needs between the fast pace of life, whilst also preserving our environment on a daily basis. Attempting to achieve this balance could well be labelled a 'mission' as it is a lengthy process requiring a lot of patience and perseverence. It is not however, mission impossible. The most important aspect is better awareness and less negligence concerning the consequences of our attitude towards unneccessary packaging and the like.
In the theoretical part, we touched upon environmental education in kindergarten. We also explored the value our society places on moral education and how parents' attitude towards the environment can set a positive or negative example. We also described the important features of pre-school children that should be taken into consideration when establishing relationships with children in kindergarten.
In the empirical part, we researched the knowledge of pre-school children concerning water, air and general environmental pollution as well as their awareness about recycling. A survey was carried out among 100 children by means of a questionnaire. The results showed which of the areas mentioned above should be worked on, considering the children's experiences. Based upon their answers, we designed activities that would help the children understand the problems of pollution. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
Kakšni so pogoji v današnji družini glede moralne vzgoje in kako starši z lastnim zgledom kažejo pozitivno ali negativno sliko o okolju.
