The thesis presents a closed type research on the topic "From milk to dairy products." Children's activity in exploring the following research question is presented:
- How are yogurt and cottage cheese produced?
Children loved to participate in the process of research by being actively involved and through applying the ability of certain skills. The thesis presents the different phases of the closed type research, which show how to move from focused to active learning methods in a kindergarten.
After the initial motivation, which was tasting yogurt and cottage cheese with a blindfold, the research question was presented to children. They expressed their assumptions about the research question and proposed activities that could lead them as much information as possible and thus to ultimate conclusions. Finally, they compared the findings with the original allegations.
In a closed type research children are solving a problem or trying to answer the research question with certain information and data. They acquired many new skills and information about yogurt and cottage cheese and developed particular skills relevant to active learning.
Within the project the children learn the importance of dairy in their diet, namely, they are necessary for their development. The purpose of the project was for the children to learn through research, how yogurt and cottage cheese are made. It is important that children are active participants in the process of research, since the knowledge that one acquires during the survey, is permanent. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
- Kako nastaneta jogurt in skuta?
Otroci so z lastno aktivnostjo in zmožnostjo za posamezne spretnosti z veseljem sodelovali v procesu raziskovanja. V diplomski nalogi so predstavljene posamezne faze raziskovanja zaprtega tipa, skozi katere prikažemo, kako v vrtcu preiti od usmerjenih oz. direktivnih metod učenja k aktivnim, dejavnim metodam.
