Teaching mathematics in primary school and primary school for adults |
Secondary abstract: |
This thesis will compare mathematics teachings in regular elementary school and mathematics teachings in primary schools for adults and adolescents.
The substantive work will be divided into two parts, namely a theoretical and empirical parts.
In the theoretical part we will present the development of adult education in Slovenia. Afterwards we will specifically define the basic education of adults in one of the educational institutions for a adults and also show how differents is a group of shildren in regular primary school, compared with a group of children in primary school for adults. We will show the importance of education for the individual and the consequences of school failure at both the indivdual level and larger society scale.
The empirical part of the work consits of answers that were carried out during interviews of mathematics teachers who teach on a regular primary school and mathematics teachers of primary schools for adults. We will explore the difference between planning and executing teachings in regular primary schools and the elementary schools for adults and adolescents and in the end look at the working conditions at individual schools.
In the empirical part we will present the results of the mathematics examination for eightgraders in regular primary schools and primary schools for adults, and research findings. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
