Secondary abstract: Topic of diploma thesis in front of you is the research of a problem that we encounter when working with inquiry. It consists of a plan and realization of project of active learning in kindergarten. Main focus of a project is exploring the sights of a home town, Novo mesto. Project was carried out in kindergarten group age 4 – 5 years old. Children were solving the problem or trying to find the answers to the research question. They were looking and gathering information and from later analysis extract what is important. Children became explorers who can find themselves in a mass of information. Thru the project they discovered local and wider field of social environment. Thru research children discovered town landmarks such as river Krka, town coat of arms, fountain on Glavni trg, Breg street, town hall, Kapitelj, town bridges, situla, Marof and the city bus.

Abstract (ePrints): Diplomska naloga predstavlja proces raziskovanja problema zaprtega tipa. Predstavljen je načrt in izvedba projekta aktivnega učenja v vrtcu. Projekt se osredotoča na raziskovanje znamenitosti domačega mesta, natančneje Novega mesta. Projekt je izpeljan v vrtcu v starostni skupini 4 – 5 let. Otroci so reševali problem oziroma iskali odgovore na raziskovalno vprašanje. Iskali in zbirali so informacije, jih analizirali in izluščili pomembne. Postali so raziskovalci, ki se znajdejo v množici informacij. Preko projekta so spoznali ožje in širše družbeno okolje. Raziskovali so in ugotovili, da so znamenitosti Novega mesta reka Krka, grb, vodnjak na Glavnem trgu, ulica Breg, mestna hiša, Kapitelj, mostovi Novega mesta, situla, Marof in tudi mestni avtobus.
