In the frst part of the graduation thesis includes a brief description of the typical characteristics of the karst and dinaric environment. Due to typical karst phenomena such as karst holes and sink holes I described the characteristics of the underground aquasphere as well as the surface waters. I also described the characteristics of all the aquaspheres and hydrotechnical structures in the Ribnica Valley. The hydrotechnical structures are presented successively, in a chronological manner, due to the fact that the first regulations were constructed in 1896. The next large construction was of the dry retention »Zadrževalnik Prigorica« which was completed in 1985 and updated in 2001. In the second part of my graduation thesis, with the assistance of the computer programme HEC-RAS 3.1.3, I prepared a hydraulic calculation model of the River Ribniščica in Dolenja vas. De to the fact that the Ribniščica flows out of the accumulation basin I paid special attention to the dam along with its outlet structure. The hydraulic calculation model was designed for the section stretching between the bridge in Gabrje and the bridges crossing both branches of the river on the regional road Ljubljana-Kočevje. The hydraulic calculation was executed for a steady flow of 16m3 /s which is dependent on the outflow of the accumulation as well as various levels of the Kromar dam. The last part of my graduation thesis includes an analyses of the numeric results and gives a proposal regarding the regulation of the Ribniščica in Dolenja vas. |
