Secondary title: The acquisition of learning content in fine arts lessons with the help of creative movement
Secondary abstract: The fine arts education process at the primary school level is often not considered equal to that of other school subjects. We cannot agree with this statement, especially if we are aware of the fact that this process, along with its teaching modes and methods used within the school premises, as well as outdoors and in different cultural spaces, develops the child as a whole personality, and forms him or her in the cognitive, emotional, and psychomotoric sense. The method of creative movement, integrated into fine arts lessons, enables children to experience and express learning contents in a kinaesthetic manner. As opposed to basic learning methods, it is much easier for pupils to visualize various learning contents through movement, and also to better understand and memorize them in the long term. The method of creative movement in Slovenian primary schools is the least integrated into fine arts lessons, and is only used by approximately one fourth of teachers, which is relatively little. The diploma thesis presents the link between art expression and the expression related to movement and dancing. It furthermore discusses the characteristics of planning the arts education process, which may take place both inside or outside the school, if the method of creative movement is included. The empirical part of the thesis examines the effects of integrating the method of creative movement into the field of painting in a chosen fifth class of primary school. In the above-mentioned case, the fine arts lessons were diversified by the presence of an artist and the representation of his chosen profession, as well as by the exploring of original artistic creations both in a chosen gallery and the classroom. According to the results, the children adopted all the concepts included into the fine arts education process, and creatively used them in art expression. During fine arts lessons and activities that included movement, the pupils were relaxed, motivated, and creative. What is more, the majority of pupils expressed the wish to visit the mentioned gallery again immediately after their first visit.

Abstract (ePrints): Vzgojno-izobraževalni proces likovne vzgoje v osnovni šoli pogosto velja za neenakovrednega drugim šolskim predmetom.
