Architectural adjustment and accessibility of elementary schools with special programme for pupils with movement impairment |

When entering their school, the movement-impaired pupils often come face to face with various obstacles, most notably architectural obstacles.
In the diploma thesis, I present the research of the architectural suitability of elementary schools with special programme for movement-impaired pupils with the emphasis on the school gymnasiums and nearby rooms. The research includes 26 schools. I examined the entrance to the school, access to the gymnasium, access to the changing room and their arrangement, access to sports tools and accessories, access to outdoor playground and their arrangement, access to sanitary facilities and their adjustment and independent access to all rooms in the school. I expected that all the above mentioned rooms will be 80 % suitably arranged and accessible. The analysis has unfortunately shown that no variable achieved such percentage. The highest result was for the accessibility to sports tools and accessories (63 % are suitably accessible), the lowest result was for independent access to all school rooms (53.8 % are inaccessible). The research also includes 3 elementary schools with a special programme that had all the evaluated rooms and entries to the rooms suitably adjusted for movement-impaired pupils. |

Gibalno ovirani učenci ob vstopu v šolo pogosto naletijo na najrazličnejše ovire, največkrat arhitekturne. V pričujočem diplomskem delu sem raziskovala arhitekturno ustreznost osnovnih šol s prilagojenim programom za gibalno ovirane učence, s poudarkom na šolski športni dvorani in prostorih ob njej. V raziskavo sem vključila 26 šol. Preverjala sem vstop v šolo, dostop do telovadnice, dostop do garderobnih prostorov in njihovo urejenost, dostop do športnih orodij in pripomočkov, dostop do zunanjih igrišč in njihovo urejenost, dostop do sanitarnih prostorov in njihovo prilagojenost in samostojen dostop do vseh šolskih prostorov. Predvidevala sem, da bodo vsi navedeni prostori v 80-odstotno ustrezno urejeni in dostopni. Analiza stanja je žal pokazala, da nobena spremenljivka ni dosegala takšnega odstotka. Najvišji rezultat je dosegla dostopnost do športnih orodij in pripomočkov (63% ustrezno dostopnih), najnižji rezultat pa samostojen dostop do vseh šolskih prostorov (53,8% nedostopnih). V raziskavi so zajete tudi 3 osnovne šole s prilagojenim programom, ki so imele vse ocenjevane prostore in dostope do njih ustrezno prilagojene gibalno oviranim učencem. |
