Secondary title: The activities of Kozjanski park in elementary school pupils' education of nature conservation
Secondary abstract: Educating pupils’, students and adults concerning conservation of natural and cultural heritage is one of the key tasks of the employees in the administration of Kozjanski regional Park. The thesis discusses the Park's activities regarding the environmental education of elementary school students in five primary schools situated in Kozjanski Park. In the theoretical framework we outline the history of Kozjanski regional Park, its geographical features, its natural and cultural heritage and the Park’s educational activities, intended for elementary school students. Data for the empirical part of the research have been collected through interviews with the employees of Kozjanski Park and elementary school teachers and through distribution of questionnaires among the elementary school students. We established that the pupils’ who answered the questionnaire have insufficient knowledge regarding natural and cultural heritage of Kozjanski Park and nature in general. The majority of the respondents have a positive attitude toward nature and natural and cultural heritage of the Park. However, their answers do not convey much enthusiasm and interest for biology and natural sciences as school subjects. Also, differences between male and female pupils’ are noticeable. Girls have a more positive attitude toward the Park and nature in general, they show bigger interest for biology and natural sciences. Despite the different attitudes toward nature and interest for natural sciences and biology the differences in knowledge are not statistically distinctive. We can discern from the interviews that the teachers are satisfied with the Park’s co-operation to achieve formal educational goals and wish to continue their collaboration with Kozjanski Park as the informal educational institution in the future.

Abstract (ePrints): Izobraževanje učencev, dijakov, študentov in odraslih o varstvu naravne in kulturne dediščine je ena izmed ključnih nalog zaposlenih v upravi Kozjanskega regijskega parka.
