Abstract

Shizofrenija je kronična pogosto progresivna bolezen možganov, verjetno ena najtežjih duševnih motenj. Pri ljudeh vzbuja nelagodje, tudi strah, z njo je povezanih veliko predsodkov. Največji predsodek je ta, da takšni pacienti v socialnem okolju ne morejo normalno funkcionirati. V diplomskem delu želimo predstaviti shizofrenijo, poznavanje shizofrenije v družbenem okolju, ter naravnanost okolja do teh pacientov. Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in raziskovalnega dela. Metodologija: Uporabili smo kvantitativno metodologijo. Podatke smo pridobili s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, ki je vseboval 19 vprašanj, zaprtega in pol odprtega tipa. Raziskava je potekala med naključno izbranimi krajani Kidričevega, zajela je 1,5 % delež prebivalstva v Kidričevem. Rezultati: Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da velik delež anketirancev ve kaj je shizofrenija, vendar vedo manj o bolezni sami. Veliko ljudi je strah pacientov s shizofrenijo, menijo, da shizofrenija ni ozdravljiva, da se takšni pacienti ne morejo vključevati v socialno okolje, se redno zaposliti ali šolati. Sklep: Shizofrenija je danes ena izmed najhuje stigmatiziranih duševni bolezni na svetu. Bolezen se lahko v veliki meri obvladuje z zdravili ali se blaži njene simptome. Pomembno je, da se o shizofreniji temeljito poučijo vsi: pacienti, njihovi svojci, drugi, ki lahko pomembno prispevajo k zmanjšanju stigmatizacije bolezni in pacientov v družbi. K izobraževanju pa lahko v veliki meri prispevajo prav medicinske sestre.

Secondary abstract: Schizophrenia is a chronic often progressive disease of the brain, probably one of the hardest mental disorders. In such persons arouses discomfort, fear and with it related many prejudices. The biggest bias is that such patients in the social environment can not function normally. In thesis work, we want to present the schizophrenia, knowledge of schizophrenia in the social environment and environmental stance to these patients. The diploma consists of theoretical and research work. Methodology: We used quantitative methodology. We obtained informations through the questionnaire, which contained 19 question, closed and semi - open type. The survey is held among randomly selected townspeople of Kidričevo, covered 1,5 % proportion population of the Kidričevo. Results: The results of research show, that the vast majority of respondents, knows what is schizophrenia, but they know less about the disease. Many people are afraid of people with schizophrenia. They believe that schizophrenia is incurable, that such patients cannot integrate into social environment, to regularly employ or to attend school, educate. Conclusion: Today is schizophrenia one of the most severely stigmatized mental illness in the world. In large extent can this disease be good controlled with medication, or soothe her symptoms. It is important to all that thoroughly learn about schizophrenia: patients, their families, and others, which can significantly contribute to reduce the stigmatisation of the disease, and patients in the society. Education can also be contribute to a large extent by nurses.
