Abstract
Diplomsko delo, z naslovom Primerjava rezultatov TIMSS (2011) z naravoslovnim znanjem koroških četrtošolcev, je sestavljeno iz dveh zaokroženih celot, teoretične in empirične, ki se med seboj povezujeta, dopolnjujeta in nadgrajujeta. V teoretičnem delu smo podrobneje opisali raziskavo TIMSS (2011) in poudarili rezultate slovenskih osnovnošolcev. Opisali smo naravoslovje, njegov pomen in opredelili njegove posebnosti ter cilje za trajno pridobljeno znanje. Poudarili smo pomen učnega predmeta NIT. V empiričnem delu smo predstavili izsledke raziskave, ki smo jo opravili med koroškimi četrtošolci - primerjali smo njihovo znanje in rezultate raziskave TIMSS (2011). Ugotovili smo, da naravoslovno znanje učencev 4. razreda Osnovne šole Mežica in Osnovne šole Črna na Koroškem presega znanje slovenskih osnovnošolcev v raziskavi TIMSS (2011). Med izbranimi vprašanji je bilo samo eno, kjer so slovenski osnovnošolci v raziskavi TIMSS (2011) dosegli boljši rezultat - naravoslovno znanje dečkov 4. razreda Osnovne šole Mežica in Osnovne šole Črna na Koroškem namreč presega znanje slovenskih osnovnošolcev na raziskavi TIMSS (2011). Med izbranimi vprašanji je bilo samo eno, kjer so slovenski osnovnošolci v raziskavi TIMSS (2011) dosegli boljši rezultat. Anketirani učenci prav tako bolje kot slovenski osnovnošolci v raziskavi TIMSS (2011) poznajo vsebinske sklope Živa narava, Neživa narava in Veda o Zemlji.

This thesis entitled Comparison of the TIMSS Results (2011) with the Scientific Knowledge of the Carinthian Fourth-Grade Students consists of two integral parts, theoretical and empirical, which intertwine, complement and enhance each other. In the theoretical part we described a TIMSS (2011) research in detail and emphasized results of the Slovene elementary school students. We described natural science, its meaning, and defined its features and aims for the long-term retention of knowledge. We highlighted the meaning of a subject NIT. In the empirical part we introduced traces of research which we carried out among the Carinthian fourth-grade students - we compared their knowledge with the TIMSS (2011) research results. We found out that the scientific knowledge of the fourth-grade students of the Elementary school Mežica and the Elementary school Črna na Koroškem exceeds the knowledge of Slovene elementary school students in the TIMSS (2011) research, among the selected questions there was only one which led the Slovene elementary school students in the TIMSS (2011) research to better results; that scientific knowledge of the male fourth-grade students of the Elementary school Mežica and the Elementary school Črna na Koroškem exceeds the knowledge of Slovene elementary school students in the TIMSS (2011) research, among the selected questions there was only one which led the Slovene elementary school students in the TIMSS (2011) research to better results; and that the respondents know more of the animate, inanimate nature, and Earth science than the Slovene elementary school students in the TIMSS (2011) research. |
