Abstract

Diplomsko delo "Raziskovanje snovi v vrtcu" posega na področju uvajanja zgodnjega naravoslovja. Teoretično so predstavljeni razvoj naravoslovnih sposobnosti, spretnosti, usvajanje temeljnih naravoslovnih postopkov, možnosti oblikovanja in izvajanja stalnih naravoslovnih kotičkov, ter vloga vzgojitelja ob tem. Spoznavali so snovi s čutili. Okušali so snovi, jih tipali, vonjali in opazovali.

Secondary title: EXPLORING SUBSTANCES IN KINDERGARTEN
Secondary abstract: This diploma thesis, entitled "Exploring Substances in Kindergarten", is concerned with the area of introducing natural sciences at an early age. The areas presented in theory are as follows: the development of abilities and skills in natural science, the acquisition of basic processes of natural science, the possibilities of creating and implementing permanent natural science corner and the role od educator in it. The practical part of the thesis was building on the fact that children must have the possibility of independent exploration and identification of substances, which they deal with on a daily basis. This way, they gain experience and make their first discoveries about the natural science as well as develop their basic skills and abilities, such as observation, use of sense organs, pouring, measuring, etc. By observing the children, the research was intended to determine what abilities and skills in natural science they acquire through non-guided exploratory activities in the science corner. Children were able to use a variety of tools and materials that can be found in their home kitchen. It was found out that the non-guided exploration had a positive effect on children. They have developed their imagination, memory, fine motor skills, skills of handling with tweezers, strainer, sieve. Along with that, they have developed the skills of mixing substances among themselves but also their separation by using tools. they learned about the substances through their senses; by tasting, touching, smelling and observing.
