Abstract

Secondary title: Children's home around Maribor
Secondary abstract: An institution, that would adress as the "Children's home" near Maribor can't be found. We found youth homes, where residents have school-age children. Where are the young children who have no roof over their heads? Typically, children who lose their parents are assigned to a foster family that are mostly their relatives - eg. grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, uncles. But what happens when a child remains entirely without relatives? The project task will present the concept of a home for children somewhere in Maribor, which looks similar to a flat-building with many children. It is intended for children that have not been desired in the family in which they were born, or the family that they didn't have from the beginning. They shall be accepted as newborns, infants, children as well as the first and second age groups. The building is designed so that the children who live here, don't need to visit kindergarten.
