Abstract

V teoretičnem delu so opisani razvoj in učenje predšolskega otroka, oblike in metode pedagoškega dela, medpodročno povezovanje in posamezna področja kurikuluma.

Secondary title: Interdisciplinary correlation in the project "Ball" with toddlers
Secondary abstract: The first thing that comes to mind when hearing the work mathematics are difficult equations and formulas. However, on second thought, mathemathics is everywhere and actually quite fun. Children become acquainted with it already in the preschool period and their teachers can make it pleasant and interesting with the help of cross-curricular topics. Interdisciplinary correlation renders learning more fun because it encourages the child to be engaged through play, thus gaining new knowledge, experience and sensations. The theoretical part of the thesis outlines the development and learning of preschool children. It touches on the types and methods of pedagogical work, interdisciplinary correlation and individual areas of the curriculum. As for the empirical part, it presents five activities (planning and analysis of their implementation) that are based on interdisciplinary correlation and share a global goal that is related to mathematics. The purpose of the activities was to demonstrate the types and significance of interdisciplinary correlation in the preschool period and to plan, implement and analyse the activities that would connect mathematics with several areas of the kindergarten curriculum for the youngest group of children.
