Abstract

Secondary title: Monitoring and evaluation of motor capabilities and skills in a girl with a development setback
Secondary abstract: The purpose of this master's dissertation was to determine the locomotor skills and abilities of a four-year old girl, who was, during the time of research, diagnosed as a child with a moderate speech and language disorder and a mild physical impairment. With the help of the instrument ABC movement, we monitored and evaluated the physical competence of the girl. We found out that the girl had locomotor problems in all areas of measurement (hand skills, skills with a ball, static and dynamic balance). Most of the problems were in the field of static and dynamic balance. We prepared an exercise program, which was implemented three to four times a week. After 30 meeting, we rechecked the locomotor skills and abilities of the girl. The exercise program is an integral part of the master’s thesis. We found progress in all areas of the measurement. The biggest improvement was in the quality of the movement, which is a reflection of the improvement of balance.
