Abstract

Povečanje zadovoljstva pacientov bomo pridobili z izboljšano komunikacijo medicinskih sester, ker za svoje posebno delo in obravnavo pacientov s specifičnimi potrebami potrebujejo stalno izobraževanje, katerega dajejo v skupen izziv sebi in pacientom.

Secondary title: THE ROLE OF THE NURSE IN COMMUNICATION PATIENTS WITH ENDSTAGE RENAL DISEASE
Secondary abstract: Background: Communication in health care is of great importance, which is often not receiving enough attention. Communication both in everyday life as well as in health care is the foundation for establishing a proper relationship. Its importance in health care is primarily reflected in the patient's well-being, which the provider of health care should try to improve by using appropriate communication. The purpose of the study was to determine patient satisfaction regarding communication and attitude of nurses during the dialysis treatment. Methodology: In the theoretical part of the master thesis was used descriptive research method by which we searched for theoretical starting points. The survey was based on a quantitative approach to research. For the method of data collection was used a questionnaire containing twenty closed questions. The research sample consisted of 100 persons. The questionnaire included questions about the relationship and communication between nurse and patients with kidney failure. The obtained data were processed with the computer using Microsoft Excel and presented by using Microsoft Word. Analysis and research results are presented in tables and with explanations, shown are also the answers to the research questions. Results: Patients with kidney failure, which do have a good communication with nurse, do feel better during hemodialysis treatment. Nurses encourage patients in their treatment. Slightly less satisfied were respondents with the interpretation of nurses, a critical factor highlighted was in particular the lack of time of nurses for their patients. Conclusion: Analysis of the results showed that the patients are satisfied with the attitude of nurses. This information can confirm the good work, because these means relaxation between dialysis patients and employees. Both spend a lot of time together, so the positive atmosphere has a great importance. Increasing patient satisfaction we will gain with improved communication of nurses. For their special work and treatment of patients with specific needs they need constant education, which presents a common challenge themselves and patients.
