Abstract

Predmet raziskovanja magistrskega dela je primerjava slovenske in hrvaške teorije šolskega eseja. Magistrsko delo je bilo teoretično zasnovano in je nastajalo s poglobljenim študijem virov in literature. Pri preučevanju slovenskih in hrvaških teoretičnih izhodišč, ki se navezujejo na šolski esej, smo primerjali mnenja teoretikov o šolskem eseju, slovenske in hrvaške priročnike za pisanje esejev in rabo terminologije v njih, način razvijanja šolskega eseja, učni načrt za slovensko oz. hrvaško književnost, šolski esej na maturi iz slovenščine oz. hrvaščine, maturitetna sklopa, ocenjevanje eseja na maturi in opredelitev eseja v predmetnem izpitnem katalogu. Teoretična spoznanja smo podkrepili z metodološkimi izkušnjami na primeru priprave za šolski maturitetni esej. S stopnjami priprave, ki smo jih ponazorili z obravnavo maturitetnega sklopa, smo želeli prikazati primer didaktičnih priporočil in opozoriti na to, da bodo rezultati boljši, če učitelj ne bo pretiraval s pomnjenjem in analizami prebranega besedila. Pot do šolskega eseja je dolga in zahtevna, toda skupaj stremimo h končnemu cilju, tj. dijake naučiti, kako napisati dober ali vsaj povprečen esej. Priprava na šolski esej se začne že v prvem letniku in vse do konca predmaturitetnega izobraževanja temelji na spodbujanju aktivnega dela dijakov z besedilom in dijakovem interpretiranju besedila.

Secondary title: Comparison of Slovene and Croatian school essay theory
Secondary abstract: The aim of the thesis is to compare the Slovenian with the Croatian school essay theory. The thesis was theoretically developed around a deep study of sources and literature. While studying the Slovenian and Croatian theoretical frameworks regarding the essay, we compared different opinions from theoreticians; Slovenian and Croatian manuals and the use of the terminology, as well as the principles of developing the school essay, considering the curriculum for the Slovenian and the Croatian literature. We also studied the evaluation of the essay on the "matura" exam in both countries and how it is defined in the subject catalogue. The theoretical findings were reinforced with the methodological experience in the case of the preparation for the school essay. With different stages of preparation, we tried to demonstrate certain didactic guidelines and indicate the fact that the results will increase, if the teacher will not exaggerate with memorization and analysis of the text. The road to writing an excellent essay is long and difficult, but we all strive towards one goal; to teach the students how to write a good or a mediocre essay. The preparation for the essay writing starts in the first year and lasts till the end of year four. We have to encourage the students to actively work and interpret the text.
