Abstract

Secondary title: Battery kitting on the conveyor belt with the Fanuc M-1iA robot
Secondary abstract: In the thesis we studied the problem of robotic battery kitting on a belt conveyor. Different batteries are transported on the belt conveyor, a robotic visual system with a camera detects, recognizes and localizes them. The robotic system traces the batteries on the belt conveyor and collects them during the movement. The system sorts and stacks the batteries in a dedicated packaging. The system was upgraded with an additional belt conveyor for transferring the packaging and a jaw electric gripper. We designed and built specific fingers for the gripper which can grab two different types of batteries. The thesis presents the design of a laboratory robotic cell with the industrial robot Fanuc M-1iA, programming the robot system and presents the experimental results.
