Abstract

V doktorski disertaciji smo obravnavali celodnevno šolo.

Secondary title: Possibilities of establishingall-day school model in the light of its development in Slovenia and international comparisons
Secondary abstract: In the doctor dissertation we discussed all-day school. In the first, theoretical part, we defined the term of the all-day school and reasons for its creation. It is followed by describingan international comparison of all-day schools in the European space, in the frame of which we explained the reasons for creating projects of all-day school, theoretical backgrounds of trends, emerging forms and organizational forms of all-day schools for countries Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We met this school form in Slovenia as well, that is why we displayed all-day school in the light of Slovenian school tradition; from structural characteristics, development, conceptual base and organization to abolition of all-day schools in Slovenia; whereof we defined the reasons for abolition. Existent findings present the basis of empirical research that is introduced in the second part of the doctor dissertation, with the reason of finding out possibilities for introducing all-day school in the Slovenian space. Findings of the empirical research performed in March and April 2013 show that the majority of principals are fond of the idea of introducingall-day school. It was also shown that with a minimal financial input which would provide suitable human resource and location requirements of schools, all-day school organization of work on schools could be realized. On the basis of positive experience of our former all-day school, practice of modern modes of all-day schools in foreign countries and answers of principals of Slovenian primary schools, we designed a model of all-day school in Slovenia. With constructing the mentioned model, we already think of possibilities of implementation and also consider the needs of learners and their families and conditions in the frames of which modern schools develop.
