Nika Strnišnik (Author), Marjan Leber (Mentor)

Abstract

S pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika so v petem poglavju predstavljeni rezultati trenutne inovacijske dejavnosti v podjetju Gorenje, d. d. Šesto poglavje zajema predloge uvedbe podam predlog uvedbe Odprtega inoviranja v podjetje z izbranim podpornim orodjem Neurovation. Zaključne misli in verifikacija hipotez, zastavljeni v prvem poglavju magistrskega dela so opredeljeni v šestem poglavju.

Secondary title: Upgrade of innovation activities with implementation of Open innovation analysis in the production company
Secondary abstract: The main theme of my Master’s thesis is to present the paradigm of “Open Innovation,” which is based on directing a company’s or an organization’s mindset towards a particular practice of exchanging information. The thesis consists of seven chapters. In the introduction, the topic, purpose, goals and set hypotheses of the Master’s thesis are described in detail. The second chapter defines the concepts of invention and innovation. In the third chapter, I consult various local and international academic sources to describe the terms “Open” and “Closed Innovation,” highlight the differences between them, point out the advantages of the concept of open innovation, and present the obstacles faced by companies before, during and after incorporating the concept. The chapter also touches on the presence of Open Innovation in the Slovenian industrial environment. In the fourth chapter, various support tools for the concept of Open Innovation are described. With the help of a survey, the fifth chapter presents the results of current innovation activities in the company Gorenje Plc, while chapter six covers my proposition to introduce Open Innovation in the company with the help of the Neurovation support tool. Chapter seven includes final thoughts and the verification of hypotheses set out in the first chapter of my Master's thesis. By analyzing the current innovation activities of the production company, we find that the company has a clear arrangement of innovation activities; however, we believe that employee engagement could be improved, since employees lack motivation. To the company Gorenje Plc we propose the implementation of the concept of Open Innovation aided by the Neurovation support tool, which will, in addition to supplying better approaches for generating innovation in the company, also bring more knowledge, innovative ideas, innovation, and competitiveness among colleagues by rewarding good proposals and consequently boosting employee motivation.
