Abstract

Spolna zloraba otrok in pedofilija sta dandanes dve temi o katerih težko govorimo, saj v nas vzbujata moteče, žalostne, anksiozne in nervozne občutke. Pedofilija je v družbi postala izraz za vse, ki so na kakršenkoli način zlorabili otroka, s tem pa povzročamo zmedo, saj so ljudje, ki se zavedajo svoje bolezni in se uspešno zadržujejo, po krivem družbeno obsojeni na propad. Potrebno je strogo ločiti med tistimi, ki imajo spolno preferenco do otrok, a se jih kljub temu nikoli ne dotaknejo, in tistimi, ki nimajo teh vzburjenj, a vendarle izkoristijo trenutek ter se na neprimeren način dotikajo otrok. Biti pedofil ni kaznivo, medtem ko spolni akt z otrokom je, zato ti dve skupini storilcev posedujeta skorajda enake karakteristike. Večina pedofilov je moških in so žrtvi dobro poznani (učitelj, trener, sosed, oče, stric ...). Bolj ko je storilec zainteresiran za zlorabo otroka, nižja je njegova družbena kompetenca (lahko tudi nižji IQ, kar pa ni nujno).

Secondary abstract: Sexual abuse of children and pedophilia are nowadays two themes of which we can hardly speak, because they raise disturbing, sad, anxious and nervous feelings. In the society pedophilia has become a term for those who had in any way abused a child, thereby causing confusion as there are people who are aware of their disease and are successfully retaining themselves, and now they are socially unjustly condemned to failure. It is necessary to strictly distinguish between those who have a sexual preference for children, but they have never touched them, and those who have no such titillation, but still take advantage of the moment and improperly touch the child. Being a pedophile is not a crime, while the sexual act with a child is; that is why these two groups of offenders possess almost the same characteristics. Most pedophiles are men and are well known to the victim (teacher, coach, neighbor, father, uncle ...). More is the offender interested in child abuse, lower is its social competence (or a lower IQ, but not necessarily).
