Abstract
V svojem diplomskem delu najprej opredelim vzgojo, pogled na vzgojo v preteklosti in danes, kako je vzgoja definirana preko različnih vzgojnih stilov. Opredelila sem različne dejavnike, ki imajo pomembno vlogo pri vzgoji otrok: družino, vrtec, ter medosebne odnose in medosebno komunikacijo.
V empiričnem delu sem vsa pridobljena teoretična spoznanja povezala s praktičnimi izkušnjami štirih staršev in dveh vzgojiteljic, s katerimi sem izpeljala intervjuje. V diplomskem delu sem raziskovala, katerih oblik oziroma stilov vzgoje se poslužujejo starši in katerih vzgojitelji, ali se v svojih stališčih o vzgoji razlikujejo in kaj na to vpliva, od kod črpajo informacije o vzgoji otrok in kakšne so njihove potrebe po izobraževanjih, kako vidijo vzgojo sedaj in nekoč ter s kakšnimi težavami se pri vzgoji srečujejo. Glede na to, da je bila vzgoja nekoč avtoritarna, kar so intervjuvanci potrdili z opisom vzgoje njihovih staršev, sedaj pri njih prevladuje predvsem avtoritativni oziroma demokratični stil vzgoje. Pri vzgoji otroka jim je zelo pomembno postavljanje meja in doslednost pri tem. Večinoma uspešno gradijo na medosebnih odnosih, tako v družini kot v vrtcu in se pri tem sklicujejo na pomembnost komunikacije pri vzgoji. Pri stilih in stališčih o vzgoji so matere in očetje kar enotni in želijo otroka vzgojiti v samostojno in odgovorno osebo. Želela sem izvedeti tudi kje prihaja do težav pri vzgoji otroka. Starši se pri vzgoji otroka soočajo z občutki krivde, če otroka kaznujejo, ena vzgojiteljica pa je otroke v vrtcu označila kot razvajene. Analiza intervjujev je pokazala, da se pri virih informacij o vzgoji otrok zanašajo predvsem na svoje občutke, posebno očeta. Materi izražata tudi potrebo po nasvetu drugih, njim bližnjih oseb, ena mama se poslužuje tudi strokovnih nasvetov (komunikacijske delavnice, strokovni članki), vzgojiteljici pa se pri vzgoji otrok opirata - poleg občutkov in različnih strokovnih člankov- na uradni dokument Kurikulum za vrtce in nasvete strokovnih sodelavk, s katerimi sodelujeta v vrtcu. O željah po izobraževanjih o vzgoji večinoma ne poročajo.
Izkazalo se je, da je vzgoja otrok občutljiva tema in da so starši in vzgojitelji pri nekaterih vprašanjih o vzgoji otrok, podajali socialno sprejemljivejše odgovore.

The view points of parents and kindergarten teachers about the upbringing of children |

In diploma thesis I define education, views on upbringing in the past and present and how education is defined by different educational styles. We defined various factors which play an important role in upbringing children: family, kindergarten, interpersonal relationships and interpersonal communication.
In the empirical part I integrated all obtained theoretical knowledge with practical experience of four parents and two kindergarten teachers with whom I carried out interviews. In this diploma thesis I researched which forms and styles of upbringing these parents and kindergarten teachers use, have they got different views on upbringing and what causes these differences, where they acquire information about the upbringing of children, what are their needs for education, how they view upbringing in the present and in the past and what are the challenges they encounter in upbringing of children. Among the interviewees the prevalence is either an authoritative or a democratic parenting style. In raising a child they give an important role to setting limits and being consequent about them. The most successful approach is building on interpersonal relationships, both in the family and in kindergarten, while referring to the importance of communication during the process of upbringing. In parenting styles and views about raising a child mothers and fathers are unified in wanting the child to grow up into an independent and responsible person. I also wanted to know where the difficulties in raising a child lie. The parents are faced with feelings of guilt if they punish achild and one kindergarten teacher labelled the children as spoiled. The analysis of the interviews showed that the source of information on the upbringing of children for parents and kindergarten teachers mainly consists of their own feelings; this is especially true for the fathers. The mothers express the need for advice from others, mainly from their loved ones. One of the mothers also uses expert advice (communication workshops and expert articles). Kindergarten teachers rely in addition to their feelings and various scientific articles on the official document called "Curriculum for kindergartens" and advice from work colleagues with whom they cooperate in kindergartens. The need for additional education on upbringing is generally not reported amongst the interviewees.
It turns out that the upbringing of children is a sensitive issue and therefore parents and teachers gave socially more acceptable answers on some questions about the upbringing of children. |
