diplomsko delo
Metode dela: Uporabili smo deskriptivno metodo dela z iskanjem literature v podatkovnih bazah: Medline, CINAHL, COHRANE Library, SAGE Journals in COBBISS.SI. Razprava in zaključek: Zdravniki in medicinske sestre lahko z ustrezno komunikacijo in odnosom do pacienta vključijo le-tega v odločanje o njegovem zdravstvenem stanju in vrsti zdravljenja.

ǂThe ǂimportance of informative preoperative talk between a doctor and a nurse with a patient before confirming the decision for an orthopedic surgery |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Introduction: Every disease presents stress for everybody, but if the disease progresses and requires hospitalization or even surgery, this stress is certainly bigger. To prevent this stress and fear, we must talk thoroughly with the patient before each decision and explain the course of treatment to him. An important role in all of this has a doctor and a nurse whose task is to decide, together with the patient, which treatment methods they will choose. Unfortunately, the informative preoperative talk with the patient is omitted for various reasons. Consequently, patients resort to information online. Purpose: The purpose is to present the importance of an informative preoperative talk with the patient before taking the desision for surgery and to present the role of a doctor and a nurse in talking with a patient. Methods: We used a descriptive method of work by searching literature through various databases such as MEDLINE, CINAHL, COHRANE Library, SAGE Journals and COBBISS.SI Results: From day to day, people are more educated and want to decide for their own treatment. In order for this, doctors and nurses have to be aware of their roles and communicate correctly with the patient so that they can find out all about their treatment or methods of treatment. In order to avoid the diversification of information, cooperation between doctors and nurses is crucial, as this is the only way to provide uniform information. The patient must be clear of all the methods and procedures of treatment and the expectation of the operation to prevent disappointment. Discussion and conclusion: Doctors and nurses can, through appropriate communication to patient incorporate into decision-making for their state of health and the type of treatment. The patient has more rights from year to year, which should be taken into account, including informative preoperative decision-making for the procedure. The signing of a consent for operative intervention just before the surgery should be avoided, as patients are not aware of all the risk factors that may be post-operative. They expect very different results. |
