Povzetek
Teoretično izhodišče: Agresija in nasilje sta velik družbeni problem v številnih državah in vedno večji problem tudi v zdravstvenih ustanovah. Nasilje ima negativen vpliv na člane negovalnega tima in tudi potencialno na študente zdravstvene nege, ki opravljajo prakso v kliničnem okolju, saj lahko povzroči velik stres, kot neposreden rezultat teh neželenih dogodkov. Namen raziskave, ki smo jo izvedli, je bil preveriti kakšne so izkušnje študentov zdravstvene nege z agresivnimi pacienti v kliničnem okolju, s kakšnimi oblikami nasilja se srečujejo in kako vplivajo na njihovo doživljanje. V zaključnem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno in kvantitativno metodo dela. Izvedli smo raziskavo na eni izmed fakultet v Sloveniji z anonimnim anketnim vprašalnikom, v katerem je sodelovalo 110 študentov zdravstvene nege.
Rezultati: Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da so vsi anketirani študentje bili že vsaj enkrat v stiku z agresivnim pacientom. Z njim so se srečali največkrat na psihiatričnem in geriatričnem področju. Ugotovili smo tudi, da je bila najpogostejša oblika nasilja verbalna oblika ter da študentje ob tem pogosto občutijo strah in lastno ogroženost.
Diskusija in zaključek: Prisotnost nasilja s strani pacienta je pomemben problem za študente zdravstvene nege v kliničnih okoljih. Predlagamo, da se sprejmejo ukrepi za preprečevanje zlorab na področju prakse in da se študentom zagotovijo potrebne informacije v zvezi s komunikacijo in metodami zdravstvenega varstva med izobraževanjem. Študente bi morali tudi spodbujati k učenju strategij za zmanjševanje nasilja in kako se odzvati v nasilnih situacijah.

Theoretical starting point: Aggression and violence is a significant social problem in many countries and an increasing problem in healthcare settings in which nurses are particularly vulnerable. Aggression and violence has a significant negative impact upon nurses and potentially upon nursing students and can result in these staff members experiencing stress as a direct result of these adverse events. The purpose of the research was to check what are the experiences of nursing students with aggressive patients in a clinical environment, what forms of violence they encounter and how they affect their experience. In the final part we used the descriptive and quantitative methods of work. We conducted a survey with anonymous questionnaire of the semi-open and closed type of questions in which participated 100 nursing students.
Results: With the results of the research, we could confirm that all nursing students were at least once in contact with an aggressive patient, usually in a psychiatric or geriatric field. We have also found that the most common form of violence was verbal abuse and that students often felt fear and threat.
Discussion and conclusion: Findings of our study show that violence was an important problem for nursing students in clinical settings. We suggest that measures should be taken to prevent the abuse inflicted upon nursing students in areas of practice, and nursing students should be provided with information related to communication and the methods of health care during their education. Students also should be encouraged to learn strategies and to practice how to respond to violent situations in the workplace. |
