vloga delovnih zahtev in supervizije
Medtem ko so delovne obremenitve pozitiven napovednik izgorelosti, slednjo negativno napovedujejo avtonomija in opora sodelavcev.

Stress and burnout in school counsellors: role of job demands and supervision |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
The aim of this master's thesis was to examine the relationship between job demands and resources on one hand and stress and burnout due to work on the other hand in school counsellors. Moreover, it tried to gain a better insight into the field of supervision as one of job resources. The quantitative part of the research included 176 school counsellors from primary schools. Perceived Stress Scale, Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT), Job Demands and Resources questionnaire and Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) were used. The results showed that job demands positively correlate with stress and burnout; what is more, the participants in the qualitative part of the research stated non-counselling duties and quantitative overload as main examples. On the other hand, the perceived job resources, autonomy and support by supervisors and employees are negatively connected with stress and burnout. Job demands are a positive predictor of burnout, whereas autonomy and support by co-workers are its negative predictor. Although the most of counsellors believe that supervision is necessary in their field of work, there is a big disparity in the number of people included in the process. The prevailing reason for non-participation lies in the fact that supervision is not provided within an institution. Even though the respondents perceived a considerable contribution of supervision to work, including work stress management, the results of the quantitative part did not detect significant differences in stress and burnout based on the inclusion in the process. Furthermore, the participation in supervision does not moderate the relationship between job demands and burnout, while support by co-workers does play this role. |
