diplomsko delo
Predstavili smo dva mogoča vidika povezovanja oseb z MAS in glasbo: glasbeno terapijo in glasbeno izobraževanje otrok z MAS.

Impact of musical activities on the behavior of a child with autism spectrum disorder |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
In my diploma thesis we discussed theimpact ofattendingmusical activities on child's behavior. In the theoretical part of the thesis we defined the autism spectrum disorder, the related terminology, described the diagnosis and the incidence of this disorder. We introduced themain groups withinASD: Kanner's infantile autism and Asperger's syndormeand some differences between them. We highlighted early signs of the disorder and early interventions and presented some known interventions for the treatment of ASD. We described the transfer of learning between music and other areas and highlighted the musical talent of people with ASD. We presented two possible types of musical intervention that can be used in the treatment of ASD: Music therapy and music education. Finally, we described the musical concept developed by Edgar Willems, which is suitable for the education of children with special needs. In the empirical part, based on ourcase study,we investigate how participation in musical activities affects the behavior of a child with ASD. The data were collected and later compared with observations in preschool and music school, and the mother of a child, the music teacher and the preschool teacher were interviewed for further information.Intheanalysis we found out, thatthechild made progress in his communication skills during the visit to music activities and that less restrictive, repetitive behaviors manifested themselves; however, we cannot say without hesitation that the music intervention is the only reason for this progress. |
