Povzetek

Virus COVID-19 oziroma »koronavirus« je na svetovni ravni močno vplival na življenja ljudi. Le malokdo si je možnost izbruha epidemije takšne razsežnosti sploh uspel predstavljati, kaj šele da bi se na kaj takega lahko predhodno pripravil. Način vsakodnevnega življenja skoraj vsakega posameznika se je močno spremenil. Ob nenadnih spremembah, na katere se je težko pripraviti, se pogostokrat pojavljajo dileme, kako se na njih odzvati. Dileme so se pojavile tudi v podjetjih, saj se je trg povpraševanja v zelo kratkem času močno spremenil. Zaradi različnih ukrepov proti širjenju virusa po vsem svetu so se tako pojavile velike spremembe tako v ponudbi kot v povpraševanju. Pojavile so se motnje v dobavnih verigah, omejevanje osebnih stikov pa je ohromilo vsakdanje življenje, kar je močno vplivalo na povpraševanje po določenih storitvah in izdelkih. Zaradi pojava novega virusa so se standardni plani podjetij porušili. V podjetjih so se začele pojavljati dileme, kaj narediti. Mnogi podjetniki in vodstva podjetij so se morali soočiti s vprašanji, na katera niso imeli pripravljenih ustreznih odgovorov. Planiranje za nekaj dni v naprej je bilo zaradi negotovosti v mnogih situacijah zelo oteženo, planiranje za več mesecev ali let vnaprej pa skoraj nemogoče. V podjetjih so se je pojavile številne dileme, kako se na neko spremembo odzvati oziroma se z njo spoprijeti. Med dilemo o tem, kakšno odločitev podjetnik sprejme, se poraja tudi etično vprašanje oz. dilema, ali je ta odločitev etično sprejemljiva ali ne. Ker se etika nahaja med pravom in prosto izbiro, ima podjetnik možnost, da sprejme odločitev, ki ne sledi splošnim standardom, ki veljajo v določenem času na določenem območju. Etika tako edina teži k »pravilnemu« vedenju, ki ni urejeno z zakoni. Poslovne etične odločitve podjetnika oziroma vodstva se tako nahajajo med točno definiranim pravom na eni strani ter nujnostjo brezpogojnega podrejanja trgu z namenom učinkovitega poslovanja na drugi. Pri našem raziskovanju smo se osredotočili predvsem na etične dileme malih in srednje velikih podjetij v času korona krize. S pomočjo poglobljenih intervjujev izbranih podjetij smo ugotavljali, kako je sama kriza vplivala na posamezna podjetja, kako so se ta prilagajala različnim ukrepom za preprečevanje širjenja virusa in nenadnim spremembam na trgu. Pri tem smo preverjali tudi odziv podjetij na koronavirus in pojav etičnih vprašanj, ki so s tem povezana. V magistrskem delu smo raziskali tudi, ali se je več etičnih dilem pojavilo v podjetjih, na katera so spremembe in ukrepi vplivali bistveno močneje kot v podjetjih, kjer ukrepi niso bistveno vplivali na poslovanje. Ugotovili smo, da imajo podjetja, ki so osredotočena na poslovanje B2B, nekoliko drugačne etične dileme kot podjetja, ki so osredotočena na poslovanje B2C. Podjetja B2C so izpostavila večje število novih etičnih dilem v primerjavi s podjetji B2B. Najbolj pogoste etične dileme podjetij so bile, ali naj kot podjetje izkoriščajo pomoč, ki jo nudi država, kako ravnati v primeru, ko ukrepi onemogočajo potek dela ter, ali sploh in v kolikšni meri upoštevati ukrepe proti širjenju virusa. Zaradi specifičnosti posameznih intervjuvanih podjetij in njihovega delovanja so podjetja etične dileme različno reševala. Največ etičnih dilem pa se je pojavilo v podjetjih, kjer je pri njihovem poslovanju potrebnega več osebnega stika, ki ga ni mogoče ponujati preko spleta.

Sekundarni povzetek: COVID-19 or "corona virus" has had a profound impact on people's daily lives throughout the world. Not many people imagined the possibility of an outbreak of an epidemic of this magnitude, let alone to be able to prepare for something like this in advance. The daily life of almost every individual has changed dramatically. With sudden changes that are difficult to prepare for, dilemmas often arise as to how to respond to them. Dilemmas have also arisen in companies, as the demand market has changed dramatically in a very short time. Various measures against the spread of the virus around the world have led to strong changes in both supply and demand. We observed disruptions in supply chains, and we saw how the restriction of personal contacts has paralyzed everyday life, which has had a strong impact on the demand for certain services and products. Due to the emergence of a new virus, the company's standard plans have collapsed. Businesses have run into dilemmas about what to do. Many entrepreneurs and business leaders have had to face questions to which they did not have the right answers. Planning for a few days in advance was almost impossible due to uncertainty in many situations, let alone planning for months or years. Many company dilemmas have arisen about how to respond to or cope with a change. The dilemma of what kind of decision an entrepreneur makes also raises the ethical question of whether this decision is ethically acceptable or not. Ethics lies between law on the one hand and free choice on the other, therefore an entrepreneur has the option of making a decision that does not follow the general standards in force at a particular time in a particular area. Ethics is the only one that strives for "correct" behaviour that is not regulated by law. The business ethical decisions of the entrepreneur or management thus lie between precisely defined law on one hand, and the necessity of unconditional subordination to the market to operate efficiently on the other. In our research we mainly focused on the ethical dilemmas of small and medium-sized enterprises during the corona crisis. With the help of in-depth interviews with selected companies, we found out how the crisis itself affected individual companies, how they adapted to various measures to prevent the spread of the virus and sudden changes in the market. Our research includes the response of companies to the corona virus and ethical issues that are related to it. In the master's thesis, we also investigated whether several ethical dilemmas arose in companies that were significantly more strongly affected by changes and measures. Research showed that B2B companies have slightly different ethical dilemmas than B2C companies. B2C companies reported a greater number of new ethical dilemmas compared to B2B companies. The most common ethical dilemmas of companies were whether companies should use the assistance provided by the state or not, how to act in the cases where corona measures prevent the workflow, and whether and to what extent they should abide the measures to prevent the spread of the corona virus. Interviewed companies resolved ethical dilemmas differently, because of their business specifics. Most ethical dilemmas have arisen in companies, where there is more personal contact, which cannot be offered online.
