Povzetek

Magistrsko delo, ki nosi naslov Prilagoditve za vključevanje in poučevanje otroka s sladkorno boleznijo tipa 1 v osnovni šoli, sestavljata povezujoča se dela, teoretični in empirični. V prvem se sprva nahaja nekaj osnovnih informacij o bolezni, opisani so tehnološki pripomočki za njeno vodenje, pomen športa in zdrave prehrane ter napotki o tem, kaj narediti v primeru nujnih okoliščin, ki se lahko pojavijo tudi v obdobju, ko se otrok nahaja v šoli. Največji delež vsebine je posvečen informiranju o otrocih, učencih s sladkorno boleznijo tipa 1 (SBT1). Predstavljeno je soočanje s SBT1 in čustveno doživljanje. Vključene so informacije o tem, zakaj kronične bolezni, v skupino katerih uvrščamo diabetes, predstavljajo veliko psihološko breme za otroka. Dotaknemo se vloge družine ter vzgoje otroka s SBT1. Sledi, glede na naslov naloge ter smer študija, ključni del, v katerem lahko koristne informacije o izvajanju vzgojno-izobraževalnega procesa za otroke s SBT1 najdejo predvsem učitelji in tudi starši. Pišemo o učencih SBT1 v šoli, o psihofizičnih, kognitivnih in socialnih vidikih, opredeljene so zakonske ureditve, in s tem pravice otrok s SBT1, ter postopek pridobitve odločbe in začasnega spremljevalca. Empirični del temelji na študiji primera, ki vključuje tretješolko s SBT1, ki sem jo letošnje šolsko leto spremljala v šoli. Interpretirani so rezultati, pridobljeni s pomočjo intervjujev, ki smo jih izvedli z razredničarko, učenkino mamo, svetovalno delavko, učenko ter zdravnico specialistko pediatrične diabetologije. Opisane so tudi ugotovitve opazovanja deklice v času pedagoškega procesa s pomočjo protokola. Namen magistrskega dela je torej predstaviti, kako poteka pedagoško delo z otrokom s SBT1 na razredni stopnji in njegovo vključevanje v socialno skupnost ter orisati izzive, s katerimi se soočajo učitelji, drugi delavci šole, starši in otrok sam.

Sekundarni povzetek: This master's thesis, titled Adjustments for integrating and teaching a child with type 1 diabetes in basic chool consists of two linked parts, theoretical and empirical. The first opens with elemental facts known about the disease; there are descriptions of technical accessories which help overseeing it; the impact of sports and healthy eating habits; as well as instructions on actions to take in cases of emergency that may arise even during the period when the child is at school. The major part focuses on informing the average reader about children-students with diabetes type 1 (T1D), how they contend with their state as well as the emotional impact it has. The final work includes information such as why chronic illnesses, including diabetes, create great psychological burden for a child. We mention the place of family in raising a child with T1D. Following, based on title and field of interest, is the vital part of the thesis, which can provide useful information on the implementation of the educational process for children with SBT1 to teachers, and also parents. We write about T1D students in school: about psychophysical, cognitive and social aspects; we define legislation in connection to the rights given to children with T1D as well as the procedure to attain individual education plan as well as a temporary companion. The second, empirical part is based on a case study focusing on a third grade L1D student whom I accompanied to school this running school year. You may learn interpretations of answers, gathered from several interviews conducted with student's class teacher, mother, counselor, the student herself and also a doctor who specializes in pediatric diabetology. There are also descriptions of learnings from observing the girl, in accordance with protocol, throughout the pedagogical process. The purpose of this master's thesis is therefore to present pedagogical work with a T1D child in the first few grades of primary school and their community inclusion as well as exposing the challenges which teachers, other pedagogical workers, parents and a child themselves are faced with going through this process.
