magistrsko delo

Aleatoricism as a world of chance of the 20th century and a cross-curriculum integration of music and fine arts |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Based on a systematic analysis of the literature of serious music of the 20th century, as well as other sources, the master's thesis defines the term "aleatorics". It is a compositional technique that includes coincidence, chance and luck in the creative process. In the performance of the works, the performer is therefore free and has the option to supplement the work, and from this it follows that no composition is performed identically. At the level of the learning process in elementary school, aleatorics is discussed in the ninth grade in the Musical Art subject, and with fundamental concepts such as graphic notation, it also extends to the field of fine arts.
The starting point for a high-quality treatment of the topic is the interdisciplinary integration of music and fine arts, on the basis of which we designed three teaching units, which we implemented in three sections of the 9th grade of two elementary schools. We were interested in the response of students and teachers to the implemented learning units of interdisciplinary integration, and we used the qualitative case study method, where triangulation provided a comprehensive insight into the studied case. The analysis of the results showed that the lesson was different from the usual lesson mainly in terms of the activities involved. The students point out that they usually do not create to such an extent, but for the first time they also produced a product that is both a work of art and a piece of music. The research showed that students prefer the group form of work, as the relaxed atmosphere prevails in such classes. When conducting the lesson, the connection between the fields of visual and musical arts were clearly expressed through the activities. |
