diplomsko delo
Povzetek
V diplomskem delu smo preizkusili preprost model menjavanja dneva in noči. Prvi dan smo z otroki izvedli kviz in individualne intervjuje o predstavljeni vsebini. Druge štiri dni smo otrokom s pomočjo raznovrstnih avtorskih fizičnih modelov in s PowerPoint predstavitvijo s fotografijami in posnetki skušali približati predstavljeno vsebino. Izdelani in uporabljeni fizični modeli so otroke najbolj navdušili in spodbudili k sodelovanju.

Testing a simple model illustrating the change between day and night |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
This diploma thesis examines a simple model illustrating the change between day and night. We wanted to present astronomy and geology to the children in an interesting, playful, original, and creative manner. Another goal of this thesis was to build a model that illustrated the Earth's spinning and the change between day and night, and use it as a learning tool in kindergarten. We planned project days in which twenty children aged five to six took part. On the first day, we had a quiz and held interviews with the children about the subject matter. The other four days, we used various physical models and a PowerPoint presentation with photographs and videos to teach the children about the subject matter. On the final, sixth day, after completing the activities, we repeated the quiz and individual interviews and carried out a test with a simple model illustrating the change between day and night. This way, we checked the progress in the children's understanding of the Earth's spinning. Based on the reaction of children and the comparison between the results before and after these activities, we concluded that the children's understanding of astronomy phenomena had increased. The progress was slightly worse regarding their understanding of the Earth's movement around the sun, and slightly better regarding their understanding of the spinning of the Earth on its axis. The physical models that we'd made and used proved to be the most interesting to the children and increased their willingness to learn the most. |
