The thesis presents platform games and game development in the libGDX framework with the help of the KTX extension. In the introduction, the platform game genre is presented in general, from its beginnings to current trends. This is followed by a presentation of the libGDX framework and its advantages. Moreover, the Kotlin programming language is briefly presented, and the modules from the KTX extension are presented in more detail. Furthermore, there is a practical example of the Planes game, which demonstrates how the development of 2D platform games can be done more efficiently using the Kotlin programming language. In the conclusion, the difference between game development in the KTX extension and the libGDX framework are described. |
