Povzetek

V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali stereotipe in predsodke, ki jih zaznavajo starši otrok s senzornimi in gibalnimi ovirami. V teoretičnem delu smo opisali vrste senzornih motenj pri gluhih in naglušnih otrocih, slepih in slabovidnih otrocih ter gibalno oviranih otrocih. Predstavili smo podatke, koliko otrok z omenjenimi motnjami je vključenih v posamezno obliko izobraževanja v Sloveniji, ter analizirali različne možnosti, ki so na voljo v podporo družinam z otroki s posebnimi potrebami. V empiričnem delu smo s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika pridobili podatke o tem, kako starši otrok s posebnimi potrebami zaznavajo stereotipe in predsodke. V vzorec smo vključili samo starše otrok s senzornimi ali gibalnimi ovirami. Rezultati so pokazali, da sicer ni statistično značilnih razlik pri posameznih zaznanih stereotipih in predsodkih, se pa kažejo nekatere razlike med senzornimi in gibalnimi motnjami pri zaznavi stereotipov in predsodkov. Največ predsodkov se kaže v družbenem okolju. Pri stereotipih pa najpogosteje zaznamo prepričanje, da otroci s posebnimi potrebami težko navezujejo nove stike, potrebujejo pomoč pri vseh opravilih in da so pričakovanja do otroka s posebnimi potrebami nižja.

Sekundarni povzetek: The thesis explores the stereotypes and prejudices perceived by parents of children with sensory and motor disabilities. In the theoretical part, we described the types of sensory impairments in deaf and hard-of-hearing children, blind and visually impaired children, and children with motor disabilities. We presented data on the number of children with these impairments included in each form of education in Slovenia, and analysed various support options available to families with children with special needs. In the empirical part, we used a survey questionnaire to obtain data on how parents of children with special needs perceive stereotypes and prejudices. The sample included only parents of children with sensory or motor disabilities. The results showed that, although there were no statistically significant differences in individual perceived stereotypes and prejudices, there were some differences between sensory and motor impairments in the perception of stereotypes and prejudices. Most prejudices were evident in the social environment. Regarding stereotypes, the most frequently perceived beliefs were that children with special needs have difficulty forming new contacts, need help with all tasks, and are subject to lower expectations.
