(diplomsko delo)
Predstavljene so učinkovite strategije obvladovanja stresa.

Sekundarni povzetek: |
Theoretical starting-points: Stress in the workplace is becoming more and more urgent problem of the modern society. Nurses and healthcare technicians confront numerous stressors in their workplace. Problems with stress identification and management lead to consequences in the psychophysical health of employees having a negative impact on the organisation as well. My thesis is aimed at stating stress types, symptoms, causes and consequences of stress. In addition, effective stress management strategies are presented. Moreover, the research part of my thesis comprises findings how nurses confront workload and how they manage stress.
Research methodology: The research dating back to December 2012 was based on the quantitative method using questionnaires which consisted of 13 closed and semi-closed questions. As a matter of fact 90 nurses and healthcare technicians employed with different departments of University Clinical Centre Maribor were included in the research.
Results: According to the research results nurses and healthcare technicians are exposed to a range of stressful situations in the workplace. In order to confront the workload several strategies are used to manage stress in an efficient way. However, nurses are not able to manage their personal lifestyle and work environment very well.
Conclusion: Stress management begins with recognizing causes of stress. It is necessary to confront with stress and to turn it to your profit. This is the only way that the negative influence of stress is not reflected in employees’ health. Employers can contribute to the healthier work environment by introducing different stress management programmes offering support and help by developing personal stress management methods for employees. However, everyone is responsible for his or her life and health and just a simple thought direction can be a great solution. |
