This diploma paper presents the problems of the use of graphic programmes in primary schools. Computer graphics is continuously improving its significance in computer science and it is impossible for a teacher or a pupil to avoid working with graphics in today's world. Information displayed in a graphic way are the most suitable and understandable method of processing information.
The first part of the diploma paper explains the term computer graphics, its meaning in everyday life and in the field of education. We outlined the meaning of graphic programmes and their use in primary schools. We presented CorelDRAW and Inspiration programmes, which enable us to create interesting study materials and prepare interesting sessions, therefore we showed when and how they can be used in primary school classes. At the end of the first part you can also find the comparison of the two programmes.
In the second part of the diploma paper we presented and interpreted the results of a questionnaire, filled in by teachers and pupils from sixth to ninth grade of primary schools. We wanted to find out how many teachers and how often they use graphic programmes for their classes, what they think of such programmes, what are the main reasons to use the already prepared illustrations, whether the school enables them to attend additional trainings for the use of graphic programmes, and if so, would they start using graphic programmes to prepare their teaching materials after attending such training. We were also interested whether it is easier for pupils to understand the material if it is presented visually and whether they use graphic programmes in primary schools to make mindsets and study materials and if not, do they want to start.
In the end of this diploma paper you will find our general conclusions, propositions and our expectations regarding the use of graphic programmes in primary schools. |

V prvem delu diplomskega dela smo opredelili pojem računalniške grafike, njen pomen v vsakdanjem življenju in v šolstvu.
