In the thesis I examined the use of social media in the classroom at school. In the first part I presented the use of social networks in the European Union and information literacy in Slovenia. I presented, more specifically, social software and selected currently the most popular social networks and the one, used for educational purposes. I also presented good and bad sites of social media, according to teachers who already use social media in the learning process. I also collected examples of teaching with the help of social media in Austria and Croatia.
In the second part I presented and interpreted the results of an online survey that I conducted among teachers at primary and secondary schools in Slovenia. I wanted to explore if teachers use social media, which social software and social networks include in their teaching and why. I explore how knowledge of social media according to teachers do students have, and whether they use social media in the classroom to motivate them. I also asked respondents how they obtain knowledge about social media and what they think about integrating social media into the learning process.
In the third part I presented a proposal of improvements to increase the use of social media in the calssroom and the possibility of the use social media in teaching and pointed out the dangers that can be encountered when using social media. |

V diplomskem delu sem obravnavala uporabo družabnih medijev pri poučevanju v šoli. V prvem delu je predstavljena raba družabnih omrežij v Evropski uniji in informacijska pismenost v Sloveniji. Bolj podrobno sem predstavila družabno programsko opremo in izbrana družabna omrežja, ki so trenutno najbolj popularna in hkrati uporabna v izobraževalne namene. Predstavila sem tudi dobre in slabe lastnosti družabnih medijev po mnenju učiteljev, ki jih že vključujejo v učni proces, in zbrala primere poučevanja s pomočjo družabnih medijev v Avstriji in na Hrvaškem.
V drugem delu sem predstavila in interpretirala rezultate spletne raziskave, ki sem jo opravila med učitelji osnovnih in srednjih šol v Sloveniji. Zanimalo me je, ali učitelji pri pouku sploh uporabljajo družabne medije, katero družabno programsko opremo in družabna omrežja vključujejo v svoj pouk, in zakaj. Raziskovala sem, koliko znanja o družabnih medijih imajo učenci po mnenju učiteljev in, ali jih uporaba pri pouku motivira. Anketirance sem povprašala tudi, na kakšen način pridobivajo znanje o družabnih medijih ter kaj menijo o vključevanju družabnih medijev v učni proces.
V tretjem delu sem predstavila predlog izboljšave za večjo uporabo družabnih medijev pri pouku in možnost uporabe družabnih medijev v poučevanju ter opozorila na nevarnosti, na katere lahko naletimo ob uporabi družabnih medijev. |
