Sekundarni jezik: Angleški jezik
Sekundarni naslov: A mathematical walk with preschool children
Sekundarni povzetek: The thesis discusses the connection of mathematics with other areas, specifically with the nature. This connection can be included in child's everyday life. Nature can be used as content for the creation of mathematical problems, the motivation, and also as a learning space for child. With the help of »mathematical walk« that is tailored for pre-school children and their stage of development is presented an interesting way to encourage a child to explore. The first part of the thesis covers theoretical aspects of child’s development and preschool learning of mathematics in everyday life in kindergarten. It presents us the way mathematics is related to the nature and how children can learn it from nature. It is important that children learn from practical experience, as it will be an active participant in the process of learning. The empirical part of the thesis presents two walks which I had carried out in different seasons with older children from kindergarten Čebelica (Bee) from Šentjernej. Their statements, answers to the questions, their activities and procucts shows what they had already known and what had learned from the walk.
