Sekundarni povzetek:	This degree dissertation presents the development and types of asphalt mixtures, which are used in road construction today. Different road conditions require different asphalt mixtures, therefore conditions in each section of the road have to be studied carefully and a proper asphalt mixture should be applied to each section of the road. The process of mixing the initial asphalt mixture is described, which is of vital importance in practice, because only the proper composition of asphalt mixture provides for documents proving the quality of the produced asphalt mixture. It also presents the production and application process, including the transport of the asphalt mixture, which requires a cooperative group of people. This is the only way for work to be carried out without interruption, which is essential for quality. It is also quick and economical – this is what makes a company successful. The main aim of this degree dissertation is to demonstrate the connection between technical instructions and practice, which requires qualified and hard-working workers filled with positive energy. This assures a quality product used by each of us every day.
