Sekundarni povzetek:	Unpredictable events are typical for construction projects, and therefore the use of knowledge and skills applicable to project control can contribute to improved efficiency, cost reduction and consequent larger chance of project success. The thesis presents theoretical background of construction project management, the description of PRINS system along with the employed norms and classifications, and the basics of Earned Value Method (EVM), a method that is not yet widely used in Slovenian practice. The core part of the thesis describes the application of the EVM to a case study and its inclusion in the system PRINS. It can be concluded that several advantages are introduced in the control system when using EVM: it enables comprehensive project follow-up, it has the potential to predict the path of project execution, it enables post-execution cost determination and it contains several indicators whose use depends upon the case. However, one has to be aware that the application of EVM requires good understanding of its potential as well as its limitations, and practical experience in construction project management.
